Default How often to spray a seedling?

    Hi everyone!

    Completely new to this.

My last seedling fell victim to overwatering.

Take 2! Seedling is in a teeny pot with coco coir. Sprayed last night and woke up this morning to the coco completely dry. Sprayed again this morning, got back tonight and it’s dry again.

I guess I’m scared of overwatering!

Those who grow seedlings in coco, how often do you find yourself watering? I was always told not to water until runoff whilst their just seedlings, and just to water until the coco is damp.

    Thanks for any input!

Just do it really slowly so it doesn't mess with it rooting, but you don't want the coco to dry out, without pic's it's hard to say but I'd try with 50 to 100ml just so it doesn't dry out, then that should do you for a few days, did you give it a soaking before you put the seed in

    Thanks, I’ll attach a pic!

Yes, I gave the coco a good spray before putting the seed in. I was told to maybe just slowly increase the amount of water until I’m spraying every other day or so.

Seedling is just peeking out, planted last night. Coco is damp now as it has just been sprayed

Don't add any to that, she's not out and up yet you got any thing to cover her with, clear plastic cup or empty bottle cut down, to keep the moisture in

Shouldn't dry out that fast once it's covered it'll keep the moisture in and the humidity up
