Default Yellow leaves, black spots! 3-4wk of flower.

    Hi guys,
    Can someone please help?

My brother been doing his first proper grow and when I went up yesterday, he said that one tent has yellow leaves.
When I checked, it seems that all the leaves on all 5 plants are yellow and have black blotches. Some leaves have even curled and the ends have dried, shrivelled and are crispy.
    Buds still look really good.

    It’s a soil grow.
    3-4 week of flower.
600w light, but turned down to 400w on the ballast.

    Anyone know what’s wrong?

I’ve tried to take pictures, but the lights were on which makes it difficult to show the correct colour.
I will also show pics of the other tent, which the plants look much healthier.

Had a bit of trouble uploading them ha. It’s there now. Although it’s difficult to show the yellowing due to the colour of the HPS.

I get this kind of thing with ph problems. Soils supposed to correct ph but not always the case apparently. Like shred says though mate, could be a host of problems, especially if he's on his first grow.

    Thanks for the replies guys.
I have tried to get some better pics with the lights off, but had to use my phone flash.

There was a lot of condensation on the walls of the tent when the lights came on. He said he’s been turning the filters off because they were too loud at night and the smell isn’t bad yet.

    So two points.
No fans being used and no nutrients.

Do you know the temps and rh with lights on and off?
Looks like you have some severe humidity issues.

Thanks. I’ll get all temps later.
Humidity was 80% in the room when I looked though.

How can we dry them out?

With no fans and no nutrients and that size grow you can expect many problems arising in the next 4 weeks. I think this is only the beginning. I don't think he can afford to shut exhaust off for the remainder of the grow.
