    Default Would it hurt?

The little lady has got so much growth and very bushy. Worried about air flow. Would it cause any issues if I were to strip the lower level of my plant of all the small/thin, lacking light branches/bud sites?

AK - Week 7, nearly 8. Just started flowering last week.

Also, would this help to push on the growth of the tops?

Ok, so ive removed about 10% of the undercarriage, didn't wanna push it too much. If she responds well, I'll remove a little more in a few days

Good move. Make sure you continue to remove the unwanted undergrowth over a few days, eases stress a little I feel

Not grown AK myself but my indicas respond very well to defoliation. I say go for it. I have recently had one that's turned out to be bushy and in hindsight I wished I had been a little more aggressive in clearing the undercarriage.

Looks very bushy , as you said it's not good for air movement and those lower parts will never make good buds.
