    Default Any soil growers here?

Heh folks. Been a long time since I have grown but need to learn again. I never fully mastered my soil grows but would love to get to a mastery level this time round!
I would like to know what soil and nutrients would you all recommend? And as I now drink distilled water which has been an amazing change for me, the question is would my plants benefit from this??
Any help or thoughts would be great! I still have a lot of my kit from when I had my tent the first time. I have HPS bulbs etc

Alright man, not a master but I've used canna bio, plagron batmix, tropic mix(with and without bat shit), and plant magic soils, and canna bio, PM organic and pm hard water nutes for grow and bloom, all been sound. If anythings been at fault it's me.

I buy from the budget corner. Whatever soil from the garden centres, perlite, Vitax citrus feeds, liquid sea-weed, fish blood & bone, organic veggie fertilizer. Rootmore or Q4 mycorrhizal fungi, Super Phosphate, Potash.

    Hi mate,

If you’re in the UK. B&Q verve compost. Filter the twigs out and mix with a load of pearlite. And you’ll be onto a winner.

Nutes all you’ll probably need is old timers bloom and their pk 13/14 version

It would help if we new where you were. If you are in the States, you can't beat this Organic Soil.

Any idea what your water is like from the tap, Bud-e?

If your username is a hint of your location, you'll be in a soft water location which means less natural minerals essential for a successful grow, predominately Calcium and Magnesium. The same principal would apply to distilled water and far be it from me to suggest not going down the organic route that SyRaX mentions, but you'll find Old Timer's very hard work in either scenario if using a basic garden centre soil, I promise you. (Living soilers - forgive me)

Hi. Yes I am in the UK and B&Q is not far from me. I recall using old timers nutrients last time. Thanks for the suggestion
