Defoliating in flower stage

HI, I am currently week 4 into flowering and my buds are relatively small. I defoliated a lot to where jus the tiny pistols are getting light. So right now it almost looks like jus a branch with small pistol heads on them. Question is now they are exposed to the light will they grow bigger? Or did I jus potentially hurt the plant by defoliating a little to much? Also Im doing HYDROPONICS DWC... I saw a small piece of mold on top of the median on one of the planets. In my hydro system its an ebb and flow which floods the pots full of water then drains them a little while after. Is this something I should be concerned about. Obviously mold is not good.

Welcome to the Talk dude, enjoy. Yea, if you take too many leaves, they want grow as well. All those leaves we all take off feed our plants.
