Having trouble finding info on pot sizes. How much difference does this make and what size would people recommend for a 1.2m x 1.2m x 2.0m space? Thinking of going the coco route and using the air pots in either 12.5 litre or 20 litre ??

If your doing autos the 12.5 litre will do you just fine.imo

Would you recommend doing auto’s for a first timer as the easier option? If I wanted to do photo’s (Have only really been eying up the feminised seeds so far when browsing dreaming about all the different strains I could grow) would I need bigger pots?

I'll always recommend ec fans, what ever fan you pick go 1 step higher so it will run a lot lower but still pull the same as a fan lower but running harder.
