Smile Should I introduce another bulb? Day 5

    Hi everyone!

I have a 5 day old seedling here, OG Kush.
It’s got a 23w CFL over it at the moment, as close as possible. I have a second 23w ready to go if needed!

Do you think I should turn that one on too?

Guess it can’t hurt can it?

(I’ll also add, I’m a huge noob. Done my research but am still learning!)

You can put that 23W cfl directly over the top about 1" from plant, and grow until it starts growing roots, which will be about 14 days, before you need An other stronger light.

    Thanks man!

What do you think about light/dark cycles for seedlings? Don’t know whether to go for 24/0 or 16/8?

Yes 24/0 for first 3 weeks. Then get some light on them or they will flower like auto's if you don't. 18/6 20/4 or 22/2 After that for light cycle. What kind of light do you have to replace the CFL?

Oh sorry, forgot to mention this is an autoflower! I have a 100w full spectrum LED to replace the CFLs

That pot is way too small for an auto. Also get that LED over them now 24/0 or 20/4.

In that case, you need all the light you can get on it.

Hi! Thanks for the advice. I was told to start small then repot to a final pot when the roots have grown more. This is my first grow, but I’ve already decided I’ll definitely be starting it out in its final pot next time to avoid the stress of repotting!

Shall I turn the second CFL on for now and get that LED sorted ASAP? Thanks!

Never grown autos but who ever told you that has told you the wrong info.

They're planted in their final pots as they don't have time to recover from the stress of potting up.
