Estimated yield per m²
Hi my first grow is almost finished, I was wondering what sort of yield most people get per plant as opposed to m².
I have a 1m² grow tent and only put 3 plants in for my first time.
Also , when seed merchants advertise say, 500g/m² is that wet weight or dry? Im guessing wet.
I know its a bit of a silly question seeing as some veg their plants for a long time in order to get bigger colas and some just do 12/12 straightaway.

5oz A plant and up is the normal.

What light you using?
I'm averaging 4oz dry per plant but I'm not what you would say an experienced grower but there are some growers in here that pulls some pretty impressive yeilds.

I did 4 plants last grow, and that is what mine weight after 2 months cure in the Jars, It still weights about the same, and it has been 7 months now. Weight will depend on lots of things, Soil, Coco, Nutes, Or Organic's and of course Lights. Ever one doesn't do the same, for such said reason. I did all organic and no nutes.Is that 5oz dried or wet ?
Blimey, I think ill be lucky to get 5oz for the whole 3 plants. The buds look nice but don't seem to have much beef to them. Only got 2 weeks left so I hope they butch up a bit .

Im using a bavagreen 440w led light. It has done very well, but unfortunately I messed up the nutrients when they first went into bloom. I have 2 weeks left ( approx) and I would be happy as a first grower to maybe have a couple of ounces per plant dried.
They look pretty good to me, you're right at the point where they put on most of their weight. In another three weeks they should feel real chunky.Is that 5oz dried or wet ?

They are going to be chopped in 3 weeks , depending on the colour of the good bits. Im not going to flush them either, the majority will he for oil and cream, ill save a little for smokes.

Those are "yield" weights so are dry.
Me and one or two others here had a play with the numbers a while back, and we worked backwards that if someone was growing for an illness and they wanted to use RSO...
if 5g of bud = 1g of RSO, for a 60 day treatment plan, we need 60 x 5 = 300 g yield per 60 days.
As an indoor photo grow cycle is often around 120 days, we thought that in The Absolutely Ideal Situation, a strain that delivers 600g per sqm could deliver a 60 day treatment program for not one, but two people per grow cycle.
In other words, even patients can get away with a 1m x 2m tent, ScrOG it, provided that all goes well and no situations, they'll more than likely have enough for oil AND smokes.
Vegging for a long time helps with plant training, to get them to a desired structure before flipping to 12/12. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Starting from 12/12 with no veg is for speed and not yield. There are articles here that old forum members have written, and are still good.

Kilogram per 1.2x1.2 based on 1700ppf is fairly normal now (just under 700g per sqm)
4 photos would work well in that space
The breeder weights are dry. 600g psqm is a generic number most use but as more strains are crossed and selected under led now, things will move on a bit.
Thanks all, very good information there. I was only going to do one grow then retire the tent for a few months but I think i will now go straight onto another grow. Same cbd strain, but this time I will veg them a bit longer . Thanks all for your input x
I am only growing for medicinal, I won't take opioid medicine any more, it is disgusting that people are given that for pain when cbd and cbd with thc is more beneficial . I will update my grow diary as it happens and will also record my oil and salve journey too.

I was averaging about 4 3/4oz per auto under 600w HPS,done my last auto under a 240w board running at 220w and pulled 9.5oz,my current photo should yield far more,so many variables.
When I first started growing about 13 years ago I was told to expect around 2oz/plant.
If a seed bank says you can get 600g's per m2,
I am pretty sure if you select the right plant out of a pack of seeds.
root a few clones depending on the strain and grow it to it's full potential,
you should pull 600g's of high quality bud.
More accurate way to put that, imo, would be just canopy size and light source, doesnt matter if you get there with 1 2 3 or 9 plants. Size and yield per plant will vary mainly by veg time..
So Per square meter, with a scrog or heavy lst, 600w hps, 500 dry grams would be a phenomenal yield.
With new tech led could get up to 800g id say in a perfect grow.

my SCROG canopy is about 1.5m x .75m (just over 1m2)
I have 2 600w HPS above the canopy in a shed, so really used the second light to keep the temps above 20c (15c lights off 28c lights on)
Not the best setup but pulling 500g would not be too much of a stretch, IMO a 600w hps would cover a max of 80cm x 1m (good light cover) with a basic hood and adjust a wing could cover 0.8x 1.4 with adjust a wing fully opened and using a super light spreader.
