    Default question regarding trimming?

hi, im in the last 2 -3 weeks of flowering, i was wondering if im ok to trim most of the fan leaves off now so that the buds and suger leaves get max light exposure?
ive had a look on google etc and some say yes, some say leave on. my plants are still bushy so would really appreciate and help on this matter. ill post some pics in a minute. sorry if this is the wrong section to post in ,please move to appropriate area if needed.

I've seen so many pics of plants in the same stage as mine with hardly any fan leaves so was thinking it should be OK to remove most of them? I'm assuming by now only the sugar leaves and buds need to be there since it is only bud maturity that happens for the last 2 to 3 weeks?

I would leave them be at this stage. If you’re going to defoliate in flower, best to do it within the first 20 days of 12/12 IMO

im thinking, if i do a big last fan leaf trim, i could shock the plants into an extra 2 or 3 weeks recovery time which might give the buds time to pack on a bit more weight especially if i carry on and do another big feed like today. ive read about using ice cold water for the last 2 waterings before a chop as apparently that makes the plant go into final overdrive ,so maybe a big fan pruning might do the same.

There's a flip side to that. It could cause enough
    stress to make them hermie.
    Your choice tho mate.

Thats a point!! Think ill leave them alone now . Its too close to the chop for any messing around.

If it's your first grow, best to let them do their thing imo.

Try defoliation once you have a good idea of what you will get without defoliation.

Very nice shape. Very spaced out and thin leaves. I wouldnt defoliate so late into flower

"Trim" is more commonly used to describe the final trimming of the buds, before or after the dry. Just so you dont confuse ..
