    Default Is she ready yet?

    Hello folks,

    Could you please tell me if my girl is ready to harvest. She is a sativa strain, flowering for almost 8 weeks now. I have got almost no green leaves now.

    Please see the photos attached. Thank you!

    Hi saranbayan, they don't look ready to me..however, the best way to check is by looking at the trichomes with a microscope or loupe with a minimum of 60x magnification, check chart for a 'general idea' ;

    If it's sativa, it would normally need 10+ weeks for flower... As mentioned above best way to check is trichomes...

    With a sativa i would personally aim for a minimum of 10 weeks. But I would however check the trichomes to see if it’s ready. But from the pictures I would say you have another 3weeks or more left.

    Looking at the pistils I'd say at the very least another 2 weeks, if not 4 or more to completion.

    You need to see the trichomes with a microscope or a jewellers loupe to see and decide.

    Harvesting early not only affects overall yield volume, what it yields is likely to induce paranoia, and that is a very unpleasant experience.

    Yellowing leaves can be induced very easily, so it is not a reliable way to assess readiness.

    I mean, she looks dense so well done for getting her so far.

    Sort yourselves out with a microscope, even one of these from an online retailer is very useful.
