    Default Attic build or tent

I'm nearly at a point of getting all my gear together. The only thing I need to decide now is do I use a tent or build a secret groom in the attic. The reason I thought about secret room is the size. Its huge the roof is prob 8 foot going down to about 4 foot and was thinking of boarding up the gable end 2m away from the wall and using that as a room. The rest will be boarded on the floor and plaster board walls. It will really be used as a man cave for all my hobbies. The thing is I dont need nothing massive it's only for autos but I thought if I could build something I could get it dialed in bette. Also there is a water supply from a old water tank. And electrics I could get sorted . Looking forward to any advice and thoughts

I'd go for it Farmer Joe, 8ft would be really nice, if you ever change your mind, and wanted to do some pure Sativa.

If you feel like you can have everything dialled in better, and it will double up as a nice man cave then go for that..much better than a tent for sure

Decide on the extraction first. Please don't go cheap. A minimum of a 6" hi power rvk will make you future proof. If it's too big for your current needs, it can be slowed down to run quieter. Also, with bigger filters you get more carbon per quid, so cheaper in the long term.

Why plasterboard? Heavy and expensive for a man cave. Insulate the roof and line with 3mm white faced mdf. It will handle an accidental knock better than plasterboard.

Don't use any grow system that might leak or flood. The water tank will have an overflow. Could that be adapted to get rid of any runoff?

I'd 110% build something dude, but I love messing around and doing DIY. Suppose it all depends on if you're capable of building it.

Depending on where you live and what kind of temps your dealing with and can you manage those temps. How hot does your attic get without lights?

The bad thing about an attic groom is hauling everything up and down those ladders, you would need to insulate the area and see how hot it gets in summer and cold in winter.
I'm pretty lucky that I have a 1400sq ft house with part finished basement so a tent in a small basement room with a covered window is perfect for me,its also legal here so I ditched my carbon filter.

I'd still run a carbon filter just for security reasons.

Just remember about the snow I’ve seen a few loft growers with no snow on their roofs haha

    Scotsman living in Alberta,Canada bud.
I live in a small town, got an alarm system and 2 dogs so security isn't an issue unless I grow in the back yard(until I get a larger privacy fence up)
