Default Answered: Lowering PH in Water

So, I've been having major water issues since the 1st of Sept. when the well that serves our community (about 150 houses) went bad. First, the old well was contaminated with super salty (brine), metal laced water, when a new well drilled 30 feet away contaminated the old well. That destroyed my summer outdoor grow as well my vegetable garden (not to mention my water heater!). The salt level has gone down to an acceptable level, but we have some issues with Selenium, and are still under a "Do Not Drink" order. We can wash clothes, shower, wash dishes, with it but we still can't drink it. I checked the PH of the water the other day and it's 7.19 out of the tap. What's the best way to bring the PH down to say 6.2? I was thinking about just adding vinegar to the water. Any suggestions?

The acid in lemon juice and vinegar will work but
it does not keep the ph stable for to long.
I would recommend getting ph down. It's
not expensive and will last quite a while.

I can't believe you're still dealing with that s*** I buy tech grade 75% phosphoric acid off eBay and then I dilute that 50% with reverse osmosis water. It ends up being a ton cheaper than pH down which is usually about 30% phosphoric acid.
