I think to begin with il just build the partition wall, insulate that and the ceiling and board them up and see how temps are. If it’s good il stick with that, if it hasn’t done anything il sort the walls out I’m trying to do it properly, but obviously what funds allow as well

Ye man don't go overboard u will struggle with high temps in summer then, if we ever get one again that is. Just do what you need to keep your temps good.

Yeah that’s what I’ve been thinking mate, it would sort me right out in winter but would it be too hot in the summer I’ve been looking and I’m going to throw a load of these in as well, should help keep the noise levels down.

I’m glad you’ve mentioned the floor because I wasn’t really going to do anything but I could do something there. Just something simple like this I had in mind

looking at this lay out just stuff the wall, insulation in them and plasterboard..dont need any mdf as the sound won't carry through that and to the front garage door trust me. Will be cheaper than boarding woth mdf

Oi oi I’m opening this back up. I’ve ordered all the timber/board to make the wall so it’s given me a little kick up the arse. Should get a start on it the weekend. Il post pictures as I go along

With the prices of lumber, I hope you are still able to buy food and pay bills this month. Great looking project that I wish I could get away with. What's your plan for extraction?

    Cheers

All material only cost me £130, I’m leaving the 2 side walls + back wall bare. Il be boarding the ceiling + the wall and insulating them both. A little sound proof on the walls and should be sweet.

I have a 10” gekko box fan for extraction, this will be pumped straight outside through a tile vent, and il be sucking fresh cool air in front the garage. That’s the plan anyways
