    Default Flash player no more

I just popped into the arcade to see if there were any interesting games I might play. I suspected well, was pretty sure that all the games or most of them at least would be running with flash support.
For whatever reason and I frankly don't get it, Adobe is done with flash player, all the major Browsers Chrome, Opera, Firefox, are ending support for flash in a few days time. I guess that'll effectively end the Arcade as we know it here in THCtalk.

Are there any plans to have something else once Flash stops working?

    A good point Zen!

The push at HTML5 has left us poorer... Flash is finishing yet there still seems no definitive leading protocol for HTML

You can use a browser emulator plugin on your machine to run the games https://ruffle.rs/# There may be a way to incorporate this into the site without the plugin, I'm gonna have a looking into it and any other alternatives that may be available...

Its a push at reducing vulnerabilities, the less reliance on external libraries the better.

Thats why its pushing js and html5

Anyone who thinks JS reduces vulnerabilities is deluded.

Most vulnerabilities are from JS (Xss injection) but I think their thought process is... in the future it will be easier to control vulnerabilities if they are under 1 clientside framework.

Edit: I was reading the other day regarding xss vulnerabilities... they are now thinking about sanitising js client side (again this could open up new vulnerabilities lol..)

There is a lot you can do with JS when the black hat goes on but leave injection to the script kiddies though

Any kind of hack needs to happen through injection though mate? That is the entry point into any "hack". "Xss injection" is just another entry point
