You'll be ok with that mate, seen them on grow sites and was thinking of getting one, but smaller, to put over mothers

In the specs it doesn’t say how much it pulls from the plug.
Did notice these two numbers were different to the ones first posted.

    High Efficacy 2.3 µmol/J
High PPF output for high intensity 690 µmol/s
And it tells me good for it’s good for for a 1m2 grow area

No wonder I was wondering what the heck when the info on the site I brought it from is wrong somebody must of been smoking something when they made that web site.
Looks like A dam good one buddy, it should blow your 400W HPS out the box. lol I PM you the spec sheet on it.

Those two stats there would tell you something is well wrong.

We are some time off 8umol per watt....

Those 300w Attis are good in 3*3 but will struggle to cover 4*4. The bar / strip design lights have to be hung extremely close to the canopy so do not get coverage unfortunately.

Lumatek possibly havent realised that will really piss someone off who has gone from hps to led

I think them numbers are deceptive looking at the spec sheet.
Also think I confused you all the light is only for veg in a small area I’m not looking to replace my flowering room with that light. Am looking at a 600w for to replace the 400w I have in the flowering room. Gotta save for it some more though unless a cool tube works till summer.
It seems to be a better light than I had in there before I only had a 250w hps in that room before with big heat problems & was still able to get the min 4oz per plant I look for when growing. Time will tell I guess.

That is a lamp with good efficacy and light output.
With the 690 µmol/s value listed, it can be compared to various HID lamps.

The efficacy of an HPS depends on the size of it and if it is a single-ended (SE) or double-ended (DE) bulb:

    400w SE HPS: 0.94 µmol/J = 416 µmol/s
    600w SE HPS: 1.34 µmol/J = 926 µmol/s
    1000w DE HPS: 1.72 µmol/J = 1837 µmol/s

Smaller bulbs have lower efficacy and MH is also generally a bit less efficient than HPS.
If we assume that 250w MH and HPS are as efficient as 400w HPS, we'd get these numbers:
    250w HPS/MH: 0.9 µmol/j = 225 umol/s

So, comparing your Lumatek lamp with 690 µmol/s, you'll be getting around three times more light.

Light spread and spectrum also make a difference, but that's for another discussion.
