    Default Blackstrap Molasses

I’ve never used molasses before I have a 600ml bottle of blackstrap molasses sitting down stairs doing nothing as I was going to make some brandy with it.

apart from it revitalising the soil I know nothing about using it.

Does it have a high p/k value?
I take it you would use it mixed with water how much do you add to a UK litre if your not sure about UK then how much to a USA lite of water would you add ?

How does molasses work does it simply revitalise the medium ?

    Thanks.

Basically feeds the microorganisms in the soil, keeps it tickin over. It needs to be unsulphered molasses as far as I know mate. Probably 1 teaspoon or tablespoon per ltr I reckon, doubt it has to be too precise. Think I read someone uses it as a substitute for old timers pk boost

UK litre is the same size as a US litre (1000ml)

Its gallons that are different (4546ml in a uk gallon, 3785ml in a US gallon)

I use molasses with every feed at 1/2 tsp per litre
From week 2 through until flush. It's molecular structure is too big to be taken up by the plant but the micro organisms break it down to a form that the plants can use, it has to be unsulphered otherwise your adding unwanted salts to your soil
So much to learn, so little time to learn it

Blackstrap molasses is a byproduct of sugar cane’s refining process. Sugar cane is mashed to create juice. It’s then boiled once to create cane syrup. A second boiling creates molasses.

After this syrup has been boiled a third time, a dark viscous liquid emerges known to Americans as blackstrap molasses. It has the lowest sugar content of any sugar cane product.

The wonderment of blackstrap molasses is that it’s unlike refined sugar, which has zero nutritional value. Blackstrap molasses contains vital vitamins and minerals, such as:
    iron
    calcium
    magnesium
    vitamin B6
    selenium

I use 2 tablespoons of unsulphured blackstrap molasses to 5 gallons of water during flower but I alternate the feeding between regular watering, it also helps with beneficial microbes in the soil for healthy root growth.

I find it makes the smoke sweeter and the buds more frosty(yes it has been compared),and the price is right.
