Lightbulb Just ordered my first ballast :)

Some Purple Durango OG really had it's way with me tonight, so apologies if this is the wrong forum; I've spent about 45 minutes now debating which one makes most sense. I admit defeat.

I went with a Nanolux OG series 600W.

The reviews I've seen inspired some confidence, but I'm hopelessly pessimistic when it comes to quality manufacturing; hopefully I just don't get a dud, or a Roman candle or something.

Caught it for $82 on clearance, with free shipping. Seems a steal.
It strikes MH and HPS. A couple dimming settings and a super mega killer lumens setting and what not.
Guess it does some sort of wireless control too but not sure I need it. Would be running 24/7 and I guess a cloudline t6 will be the brains of the operation. Babbling...

Pretty psyched, though. Only a handful of purchases away from getting to try my luck and join in on the fun.

    The tent is up next.

    Thanks, riot.

I've been set on a 120x120 tent. It's about as big as I can go in my bedroom...hehe
Height has been my main concern while searching one out.
The most likely suspect at the moment is by a company named Covert. Read some good reviews. It's the tallest I've come across at the price point. 214cm at $180.

I'm using a vertical mount parabolic from secret jardin, so I'm guessing I want to squeeze every inch I can from a tent.

Nice one SDCC. Good choice going vertical parabolic. I was going to do that until
I decided to go led. Just got my QB a couple days ago.

JMHO but I wouldn't use the super lumens setting. Will use your bulbs up fast.

SL has never bothered my 250w setup - The last couple of grow have been at super lumen 24/0

Glad to hear that M_C. Had always heard otherwise. Good to hear it from someone who actually has used them.

My previous bulb died whilst on SL... but it was about 5 year old & had been used in various ballasts

hps lamps are designed to give a balance between more light and longer life.

Growers who change their hps lamp on the regular don't need longer life. They only need the lamp to keep working until they were going to change it anyway. So why not have it burn brighter?

afaik, SL is only for hps lamps.
