I'm thinking of getting a fan controller for my 4inch rvk.. Can anyone recommend a budget one that works well and available in UK ? There are very cheap ones but I'm worried they will be crap... Thanks

Some ppl use varispeed plug in controller, or sms controllers (£10-£35 ish respectively) I've used variac speed controllers since the start, never had an issue and there's a wiring thread, £75- £80 bob though. I tried a varispeed and it was shockin lol, just my experience with 1

Of the cheap ones, the best one ime isn't sold as a fan controller. It's an all in one 300w dimmer. No wiring needed. You plug it into to the mains and it has a socket for the appliance.

btw, don't go lower than 40% of mains or the fan might overheat.

I use a varispeed and have no complaints, cheap and cheerful

My smscom ran for 5 years solid, it got some kind of problem and it was still in warranty, still running now
