    Default ventilation questions

Hi fellow talkers, Hope you can help me out. I want to run straight pipe like
6 inch pvc for my ducting. Got a problem though. i don't have access to a
truck and don't know how I could transport it. Is there anything else that
may be flexible so I can get it home? Another thing is will 6 inch pvc connect
to a 6 inch extraction fan or do I need to use something for a sleeve to attach
it? Want to have a straight shot from the filter to the fan then out of the groom
with a 90 degree elbow, then a straight shot through the floor and vented out
under the house. Any ideas and suggestions are more then welcomed.

    Thanks all

Chop it to manageable sections & reassemble at the other end?

yup chop it up, can buy coupling joints if it needs re-joining. Foil tape all the joins well to prevent leaks

How long are the sections of pipe? How long is the run that you need to do?

Take a hack saw with you and buy a coupler

If you don't want the hassle of cutting the pipe, call a private hire taxi firm and ask for an estate car.

Duct tape will join pipe that 'almost' fits. If the taped up pipe is on the long side, it might need a rope ratchet or similar to hold the weight.

A few days ago I helped a mate tidy up the fan and filter in his loft grow. It wasn't until I got there that he told me he had no duct tape. We ended up using brown parcel tape, which worked just fine.

Cutting it up would be the simplest method of course but there will be
3 adults, a 3yr. old and a 6 yr. old in the car. I am disabled and it would take me
2 hours to cut it. So that won't work. Was hoping you all might know something
that is smooth on the inside but flexible.
