Default should I quit this girls??----rootrot

    Hi,

this is my first aeroponic grow I been growing in soil for a few years and some grows with dwc never had an issue this bad.
I germinated the seeds in aerogarden with no problems but I guess I transplanted them too late so the roots get touched and exposed because I couldn't get them through the net pot holes so I guess they got contaminated.

They are 12 days old but look very behind and are autos...2 days ago I put 5ppms per gallon bleach into the water but no change until now so Im not sure to quit the girls or give them some more time......

water temp is around 64-68F and ph stable at 5.8 with RO water 200ppms calmag, silica and GHE tripart ferts all 500ppms...

I don't really do PPMs... if you can convert that to EC then I could possibly help

    hi,

ppm 500 scale is always 1/2 of the ppm so 500ppm is 1000µs = 1ec.

0.4ec calmag 0.01ec per gallon bleach so all together 1ec in the tank with the ghe nutes

There are actually several PPM scales. Hence the ask

The scales all seem out IMHO... but I'm not really a hydro guy....

Add beneficial bacteria to eliminate the bad ones.
Rinse the roots and try to get all the slime off, add few grams of bacteria powder to 1L of water and mix it in, spray the roots and clay pebbles well and add the rest to the tank. Peroxide helps in terms that it kills everything, but beneficials feed on bad ones and provide long term protection as they thrive in oxygen rich environment.
