Seen many growers use leds and then add a heater lol

Here one of my plants Attachment 394788

There's a very good YouTube video discussing grow lights especially Leds and their wattage output and how it effects plants if anyone cares to take a look just search for "apogee instruments grow lights" with a Dr Bruce bugbee
My phones been playing up lately and won't let me link the url but we'll worth a few minutes of your time, we'll 45 minutes to be exact

I know your right(led are more effective)if you don't take temps/humidty into consideration
Problem is imo its very important, don't want less heat or more lums in my room
And hanging a fan of filter is a real problem with large led panels

Looking at your setup, I am guessing your room is about 40cm(d) and the light will cover a 40cmx 40cm canopy.
I have often used 250hps in veg and keep the bulb 6" above the canopy

The 250w hps will penertrate the canopy much better than the 100w led but the led will cover a larger area and works great with a scrog,
Actually, the biggest issue with that set up shown would have been the fan... they are loud

My floor dimensions are 58x76... but, obviously, by the time a circulation fan is in there then there's less usable space

My HPS is in a cool tube but that's a throw back from when I had less height to play with. It works well so long as you keep it clean (Inside & out)

I've never tried a scrog, usually I grow autos, 2 at the most. Occasionally you may tempt me to do a photo-period, I tend to mainline them

Your right the fans are loud, you can put a box around them with some installation, stops most the noise, have the fan/filter outside the flower room ( blow air into the filter) and hang 4" pc fans in each corner, not idea but it can be done.
and you get the full floor space and full hight of the flower room.

Mainline is a great way to train the plants

You basically need a good 300w of energy in a grow room but as said your central heating is probably giving you that anyway so like Easy says you can do with little watts. 30w per square foot with decent led for flower. HID more like 50-75w
Put it off for a while but I'm about to buy everything I need now.

I don't have central heating here, so a 300w LED light for a small wardrobe?

300w of energy including the light but for something as small as that, you might get away with less. Plants need fresh air, which will need heating.

Right, I'll buy all those things you mentioned. No need to paint though surely if I'm buying a grow tent?
