Default Hi guys a bit of germination advice

Ok so my seeds are in a glass of water one or two have popped open slightly,
    My guy who’s giving me advice on growing has said do this;

•Once they sprout the tap root quarter inch put into wet jiffy’s
•then put the jiffy’s in small pots under one grow lamp (600watt hps)
•make sure it’s about 4ft away so they don’t burn on lowest setting
•once the roots reach edges of the jiffy, put into plant pots with the coco coir

is this sound advice? as there seems a lot of conflicting ways to things, just want to make sure it’s right.
    Thanks guys

Hey bro, I just normally put the seeds straight in the pellets, not proper wet, but a little squeezed out. Also, I put the pellets straight into the coco too, normally in solo party cups(red ones), then pot up as they grow.
The 600w can be a little too much, but some(including me) used them everytime, I have since purchased a smaller tent and a 250-400w dimmable light to start my plants now.

Sounds like sound advice. I put straight into coco after the tap root emerges a bit

I have around 98% germination success the following way..
Cup of warm water, comfortable for your finger.
Drop seeds in for around 10-20 mins
Root riot cubes, put the seed inside (make sure cube is nice and moist but not soaking)
Plant the cube in the final soil pot with about 1-2cm of soil on top.
    Put under very low light.
Turn on humidifier to keep around 70-80% humidity.

    check every day.

I also go straight into Coco after soaking for 24 to 36 hours. Got to keep a little humidity dome over them for the coco tryout on top. A spray bottle helps a lot.

When they've been potted up, be extra gentle when you water/feed them. Every time that I've been clumsy enough to have a new seedling move when feeding, it has become a runt.

Once the roots are established and they're growing well, I can slosh the feed in and they don't mind.
