Aslong as you insulate well it’ll help contain the heat inside your room. You’ll still need to heat the room inside though. i use some polystyrene sheeting then clad around it

They get cold if sat right ON the floor. Have "something" to give them a little leg up so they sit a little higher than being right on the floor in direct contact.

my vegging box is made from just kingspan held together with duck tape,
works a treat and that is also in my garage and it was minus 1 in that garage last night and it still gets to hot in the box even with just a 55w maxigrow light on in there.

My very first grow box was entirely built from kingspan. 100mm boards.

I’ve used cheap insulation wool this time because of cost and with the lights in temps are holding, in fact too warm at 30C. Will invest and build with insulation boards next grow.

    It's definitely worth the hassle.

I hate the stuff, I get so itchy. The quilts idea is a decent one, I use an old double wrapped around my ducting, brings the whooshing sounds down quite a bit.
I was thinking of using some kingspan to build a station for my propagators

Very itchy, to have two showers, it was everywhere, up my nose, in my eyes ......

I’m also investing in a remote thermometer as it’s looking odd the amount I’m back and for to the garage to check temps.
