I just prefer to know the exact starting point. So I ph buffer with fresh solution. Its not essential but also takes no effort and its set exactly where I want to start buffered and ph'd to range.

I've had magnesium deficiency issues previous with canna Pro (50l bags) so started doing it out of habit. For the 2 minutes to ph and dose its worth the peace of mind to me.

Ah see I've always had really hard water so never really suffered from that issue myself.

I bought 50L of Plant Magic coco in 2012 and never used it until last year. I used it straight out of the bag and the 2 autos showed no problems at all for the 10 weeks before I had to cull them. I'm currently growing a photo seedling that showed a Mg def early on but didn't get worse. A clone added a few weeks later is all green. That's 1 from 4 showing early Mg defs but buffering is simple enough so it is an easy precaution.

Welcome to the coco club mate. Like many others, i also use canna pro plus along with canna nutes, calmag, rhizotonic and pk.
I also use canna start for the 1st week.
I think the only non canna products i use are the solar green power silicone and the vitalink ph adjusters.
