    Default Extraction kit

    Hi everyone

Hope you are all well, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction, I have a 0.8x0.8x1.8 tent it was supplied with a 4'' swiftair extraction kit.

First question is swiftair products crap?

Second question if I was to change it what would be the recommendations? Trying to work out what size of fan and filter etc for my tent is a bit confusing.

Thank you once again my friends

Swift air 4"? I used one as an intake fan once, I don't think it would really be up to the job of extraction though...

I've used a Swiftair fan and carbon filter with a low power led lights, never with hps.

Have you tried a dry run? Set everything up let it run for an hour or two then check your environment temps? If they manage to hold temps your golden but remember the hotter months so take that into consideration.

It's up and running about a couple of months just wondering if the extraction fan was strong enough because I get a whiff of weed every now and then if I stand infront of the tent when it's closed.

I have two sunset sherbet clones in it ready for the flip in a couple of weeks and am scared encase the extraction setup I have is crap and stinks the whole house out when they start producing lol

The tent is pulling in slightly and from what I read that's negative pressure.

Is it normal to still get a bit of whiff and am I being paranoid? The rest of the house is smell free

Whole point in the filter is to keep the smell inside the tent, if you are getting a smell outside either your extraction system isn't sealed up well (pulling air in from the joints in ducting) or the extraction isn't good enough.

Smell in flower is muuuch stronger in flower so Maybe an upgrade is in order.

I never ran the Swiftair with hps like i say now I'm running a 1000w hps I've upgraded to 6inch rvk with a filter the size of my 2yr old daughter.

Can you suggest what sort of size I would need as my tent is only 0.8x0.8x1.8, it relatively small compared to some of the setups you guys run

Looking at the spec for that Swiftair you have it's got pretty low airolflow. You could possibly stick with 4inch and get a higher flow fan and filter.

But first check makesure all the ducting joints have a good seal you might have a leak
