Default Answered: Life expectancy of nutrients?

Here's my question, I got locked up for about 5 years and all my nutrients were in a shed, so are they any good still ? Or should I throw them out and get new ones ?

I'd get new ones too. Must of gone through a lot of temp fluctuations in a shed in 5 years.

I had a 3 year break and started again late last year. Can't remember when I bought the GH Micro and Bloom although not much of it had been used. So maybe 4 or 5 years ago? The Micro had a thin layer of sediment that dissolved when I shook it up. The Bloom looked perfect, no sediment. Was stored in a cold cellar. Am on my 2nd grow with it.

jingo, in what way did the Bloom go bad?

It went from pink to clear in color and I could never give more than one mil per gallon without burning. As soon as I bought a new bottle I was able to go up to 5 mil per gallon which is my normal.

My Bloom is still pink. I'd guess that the low cellar temps help. I buy 5L Micro and 10L Bloom at a time so just as well.

Mine sat outside in the hot sun the last two summers before I gave up on it.
