    Default Gypsum in Coco

I have been reading about growing in coco and read putting gypsum
in the coco helps with the salts building up from nutes. Have any of
you smart people ever heard of this or have experience with it?
    Never heard of it myself.
    Thanks for any replys.

I would test it on anempty pot before committing to planting in it. Surely its just gonna fill all the air pockets and set like concrete?

And as Scoot says, with daily run off there should be no salts to worry about

NO SELL, NO SMELL, NO TELL!!!

Plaster of paris will set like concrete (calcium sulphate hemihydrate) aka roasted Gypsum.
Gypsum (calcium sulfate dihydrate) won't. Gypsum can be used as a desalination product but properly prepared coco fibre, even that which has been soaked in salt water (often the case) shouldnt need gypsum. Gypsum is slightly soluble in water and can provide calcium and sulphur nutrients but there are easier ways.
