The water is to prevent the butter from burning. So using a Pyrex jug as a double boiler should work fine.

It is a quick way to make Cannabutter. Follow the below-mentioned step-by-step process.

    Steps to be Followed
    • Add one stick of butter to a saucepot
    • Allow it to melt over low heat completely
    • Skim the foam off the top to make the Cannabutter clarified.
    • Once the butter added to the saucepot is melted completely, you need to add the decarboxylated cannabis.
    • Keep the heat flame low only.
    • Utilize a candy thermometer and aim for a temperature of around 190 to 210 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Do not fry the cannabis flower, and do not let it get brown or smoky.
    • Simmer the butter and cannabis flower together for a minimum of 30 minutes, and you can do it for up to 90 minutes.
    • Line a mesh strainer with cheesecloth
    • Pour the butter through while straining out the raffinate
    • Do not forget to give plant and cloth matter a hefty squeeze to get all the last bits of THC goodness out.
    • Store it in a wide airtight, and shallow container.
