Lightbulb Don't over crowd your grow space! (Lesson learnt)

So i decided a few months back that i was going to try and grow the remainder of seeds that i had stored in my fridge.
there were like 9 seeds but i only got 7 of them to take root and 1 of them came out stunted like a midget marijuana plant, However she is flowering! it's like a personal plant like dominos personal pizza cute and bite sized!!
Anyways i messed up big time because some of my plants have stretched considerably to the height of 1.6 meters a hands length away from the light which i cannot move any higher in my grow tent

does anyone have any recommendations to fix this I've tried lolly popping in the grow area to try and tidy things up a bit but i am noticing that this big girl is going a pale yellow colour on her top cola from light bleaching and I'm starting to worry, I've tried the hand test and the light doesn't hurt/burn when i hold my hand close but it's still very close. 400W HPS lamp, oh i was going to bend her over and hold her down with some cooking twine but i don't want to damage her now that i'm a week to two weeks into flowering stage.
I've attached a picture of the top cola in the danger zone, And a picture of my unintentional disproportionate jungle of buds! .

about 4 more weeks and i'll put on some body armour and I'll be able to clear this thing out with a machete and spend the next 3 months high as a kite! woooh lol

Just gently bend it over and tie it down. Should be fine.

The best course of action depends on how much stash you have.

Last grow, the runt did nothing until a few weeks into flower. Then it took off like a skinny beanstalk. It grew higher than the bottom of the reflector.

The question is: 'Will removing the offending branch(es) mean that I might run dry?' As the answer was no in my case, it got cut.

This grow, the one and only seed plant grew too tall. (I like growing them free range if I can.) The stretch finished just as I ran out of reflector height. 4" less would have been fine. I could go down the cellar, dig out my diy Rhizo stands, move the plants, garden tray and bench. Then put the plants back on the stands, giving me an extra 12". Or I could cut 4" from the top. Which is what I did.

If there is a risk of you running dry if you chop the pesky branches, consider super cropping them. Choose where you want them to have the bend, get the support string in place and go for it. Don't try to bend them. If you crush the inside of the branch enough, gravity will have them keel over.

I just had this same issue with 2 stems. What I did was what Blue already suggested by gently bending it over using, and using regular twine to tie them against the corner support posts. I don’t bend the actual stem itself but use the twine to wrap around the post then around the stem to tie it over to help prevent any damage to the plant. It probably reduced a good 2 inches from the height and is at angle away from the direct light path too. They’re looking good. Hopefully not too long now

have ordered in some new equipment before the next grow
the tent i'm currently using is about 4 years old and it needs to be replaced some of the reflector wall is peeling off and there's bugs stuck to the sides from where i have had fly tape.
currently growing in a 1x1x2 tent. Ordered a 1.2x1.2x2 tent so a little extra space! it'll take a good day or two to take down all of my old equipment clean my area and then put up new stuff!
P.S i cut one of the nodes off my auto last night i was clawing at the walls for a bong... i dried it and just smoked it and omg

    Cool

I will spend a few more hours watching videos and learning about it before i attempt! i'm definitely intrigued defiitely carried out the procedure on my poor plant in the name of science! The results are in.... I'm smashed ;p!
see the thing i like about growing the way i do is that i don't have to do alot. Autos grow and produce bud no matter the lighting or if you crop or lollypop them etc.
They always have less leaves, More bud and seem much more resilient to neglect especially if you miss a watering or accidentally shine a light on them once or twice during their dark cycle lol. they also grow much shorter/stumpier which is what i like i won't grow photos again unless the situation is DIRE.
i just got some seeds that i ordered last month a shipment arrived in Aus from Amsterdam. so i have 10 new seeds ready to go plus 2 free so I'm going to be attempting 2x 6 plant grows so i have plenty to stash away until next year.

For your next snip test, choose a skinny branch that has a few small buds on it and maybe some popcorn. Before you snip it, practice super cropping on it.

ime, the light schedule can alter how autos grow. I mistakenly grew autos at 12/12 from the start. They took forever to finish. I chopped them after 15 weeks and there were still no amber trics.
