    Default Does size matter?

So i’m curious about how seed companies gauge their grams per m2. Let’s do an example i’m looking at this seed at the moment it’s called Peyote Gorilla Feminised the estimated yield on this seed is YIELD Indoor: 450-600 g/m2; Outdoor: 1500 gr/plant.
So when we talk about a square meter does the size of space you’re using effect that yield?
Say i have a 1 square meter tent and it’s got 2 plants in it, will they still produce the estimated amount per m2 or is it per pant inside of that square meter??
I’m kind of bad at maths and slightly high...
    Nevertheless curious!

I don't really know, but when I grow one plant, I ususally get around 8 to 10oz, and when I do two plants in the same tent, I usually get 4 to 5oz per plant. So, it would seem like it for the space to me. And not two in one. JMO

I think it has more to do with Lights, Nutes, training and stuff like that and less to do with space.

I think most of their yield ratings are based upon nine plants per meter squared. I think they used to call that a SOG. Most growers don't grow that way anymore, because in places like America they decided that was a professional way of growing and would go against you in court.

They're going to do the best they can to get those square metre yields. Can't blame them for that, their competition will be doing the same.

i must be doing something wrong if I'm unable to fit 9 plants in a square meter.....
are we talking plants in 5 gallon pots or 3 gallon? because i use 5 gallon and i'm sure i could fit 9 plants in if i down sized to 3 gallon pots. but i assume a smaller pot size effects the yield especially when growing in soil?
i guess my goal is to successfully harvest an estimated gram per m2 in a grow i won't lie i haven't been able to do it before, i remember when i grew Gorilla glue auto. i did 5 plants and they barely fit in the square meter that i had, it was also my best grow hand down, I would like to try the Gorilla glue auto again. Wicked head high.

The premise of sog is less yield per plant and more yield per harvest. Plus a shorter time between harvests as veg time is minimal. Sometimes the newly rooted clones only get a week. Pot sizes for sog can be small. Smallest I've seen is 3" Dixie cups. Scary scary numbers, too rich for my blood.

When the breeders establish their indoor per metre figures, safe to say that their plants get plenty of light. By going for yield per m2, their grams per watt may be lower than your gpw.

When you grow in that style you don't allow any side branching and if you get 2 oz per plant that's 500 grams per meter squared. So your pots can be square and be about 1/3 of a meter each.
