Default Should I remove growth tips

    Hi Guys,

My plant is 2 months old in veggie state, and I was thinking to start flowering, but before this I have a question:
All of my branches are full of nodes and growth tips. Some growth tips are small (1-2 cm) some of them bigger (5-7cm).
The growth tips are located across the entire branch from the bottom to the top.

How should I deal with these growth tips ? Should I remove/pinch/cut all the growth tips before entering flowering cycle ? What is the logic around growth tips, what stays what should be pruned?

Also the plant is pretty bushy, should I try removing the leafs to allow more air/light ?

    Thanks A lot

Personally, I think that is totally over the top... but, as an auto grower, I couldn't really expand on what I said

    I don't really understand?

If you don't want nice long buds forming, then by all means snip them off.

Am I missing a gigantic point?

I think I am the one confused, maybe you can help me out .

So I read that smaller branches (growth tips) witch are attached to the bigger branches are called "suckers" and they should be removed before flowering, so that the plant can focus on the bigger branches ?

I always thought that the flowers appears where the calyx is, so If I remove the small branches won't destroy the bud site.

I think there si something really wrong in my understanding

    Thank you

Ah! Could it be 'main lining' you refer too?

That is advanced training mate... If you need to ask basic questions about it then, it's not for you

So just to make it clear for me: before I put the plant in flower mode there is no need to do some kind of plant cleanup like removing the small branches that are not yet developed? The small branches are 4-5 cm long and derives from the other older branches.

I would just leave it as is mate but alot of people do take the branches at the bottom of the plant off as they don't get much light and produce i think they called popcorn buds personally i just leave them and if I'm stuck for a smoke take them off then or closer to harvest to see if it needs more time flush but your plant wont stop growing in flowering so these underdeveloped branches you are talking about will develop during flowering not an expert my self mate but hope that helps

Please dont remove the "growth tips" pointed out in those pics. If this is your first grow, I recommend paying attention to the plant in flower, and see first hand exactly where these flowers grow. Because as Herb said.....those are gonna bud up and hopefully form a big cola.
Removing anything, should only really be done gradually to scraggly shit, way at bottom. But then, only if the light aint penetrating far enough. Thats the only reason I try strip about a qtr off from the bottom up. Maybe a 3rd.
