The had a warrant, and yes he could have gone about it better, but that's the type of character he is...

Had a few near us, slingshot got very close and noone came back. My airspace = quarry.

But this doesnt make sense really at least to a growers perspective. Everyone has the right to privacy and the use of a drone is as invasive as a knock through the door, i.e would have required a warrant from a JP. If they got the warrant, again requiring reasonable grounds and intelligence, they would have kicked in the door in the first place and not flown a 4 foot wasp at 90 decibels prewarning you. Thermal and zoom inspection, suit you sir, is as invasive as they come.

So if this did happen in general, but one was none the wiser and then went onto to get caught red handed, the ends would not justify the means.

Even if you had 99 plants the reasonable grounds were formed illegally and therefore anything found as a result would be inadmissible.

Any tin pot duty solicitor would have you off. Cant uphold the law by breaking it.

That is unless someone, like said, had commited a serious indictable offence and was associated with the property - not exactly a growers issue.

Drone must find a lot of chimneys and tumble dryers mustnt they.

Apparently the drone was being used to find the best and quickest entry to the property..
Not sure I believe this tho...

You should get a couple of people to "report" you, get them round again to find nothing. This time, have your brief threaten them with harassment charges
