    Default Update..

In the original post I thought I could purchase a cheap LED light and throw together a few bits needed and grow a plant successfully on my first attempt in a small boiler cupboard. The light that I bought cost £60ish and it was total Shite, I noticed hardly any growth after 12-15 days so I invested in a Spider Farmer and for a while all was ok just a couple of weeks behind schedule.. (Jack Herer Auto)

I germinated a second plant (WW auto) about 10 days after the first and I think my new light came shortly after and it caught up with the JH.. I still had not taken the advice of a PH and EC pen although they were on my to get list and I was just watering a low dose of A&B I thought I would be ok..

When the WW was about 17-18 day old it was the same height as the JH and I thought I would experiment a little and try to attempt to Top just one of them and see what happened-I just pinched the top sprout away and hoped it was not a big mistake.. About day 20-22 I noticed brown patches on the lower fan leaves on the JH and a few days later a similar thing on the WW now with yellow tips on the leaves - I looked online and I put it down to either a calcium or mag problem or incorrect PH so took the plunge with both the pens and some ph up/down and a bottle of Cal Mag..

I got both pens for £15 but the ph pen was a waste of time and I couldn't calibrate it so another £21 for one that was self calibrating lol..My ph run off was 4.5 on both and that takes us up to about a week ago, I have watered 4-5 times since adding the water and feed at 6.5ph but my run off is still just below 5.5ph which im hoping will go up a little if I keep watering at 6.5 but ive read that it can be difficult to correct the ph mid grow?

I fed them with canna A&B after 2 1/2 weeks roughly and added pk in the early flower stage but I stopped the A&B and just used pk and canna boost but im going to add a bit of A&B for a few days as I think I stoped it to soon.. I would like to know what nutes I can run in these last 2 weeks or so? I have canna A&B, pk, canna boost and overdrive and im guessing that there about 10 - 14 days until flush time..

I solved the brown patches on the JH but my WW is struggling just a little.. I will post some pics soon..

The first pic is the JH and the second 2 are the topped WW which looks a little poorly but doing ok I think.. I couldn’t keep it under £100 more like £200 at least and I had some of the stuff I need all ready lol..

I think I will get a nice smoke out of it as although I’ve had problems the JH is doing great and the WW is hanging in there I just hope the 400w or so light will be enough for the 2 of them..
