    Default Another mite question.

    Hey guys Monty here ok so i used a knockdow spray and im gonna get predatory mites mailed overnight if it doesnt work. But i was thinking so the weather here is gonna be rainy with an over night low in the 40s what if i just left these gals out overnight? Im thinking it might just kill all them or is that a no bueno? What do you guys think?

    They call spider mites "The Borg" for a reason.
    They will just go into the soil and then come back out when warmer.

    Unfortunately, Blue61 is right..to get to the point where the spider mites would die (which would need a lot more than what you suggested), the plants would die MUCH sooner than the spider mites anyway

    Beside predators, chilli spray is pretty lethal. It can be used it flower too

    One other thing, remember there are a spider not a mite.

    Chili spray? As in just powder chili and water or what kind of chili?

    I've never had spider mites and now that I'm not growing in a damp cellar, the thought of getting them worries me. If it happens, I'll either have to start using the cellar again or do a load of work, including getting rid of the hall carpet.

    I've heard of guys that had spider mites persist in their house when they had carpeting. I had some spider mites in my closet last summer when I was taking plants inside and outside, I didn't have any problems with this winter's grow in the closet. So I doubt they persist very long, I kind of think those people that have troubles are trying to do one grow right after another.
