I remember when I lived harvest to harvest, with no real cure... and a question mark over all that's said about smell.

I’ve noticed mine stop stinking after drying for 2-3 days m8 the smell is still there but isn’t too strong unless I mess about with them

Lol that’s what happens with me and then by the time it starts smelling and tasting better it’s gone, so I run out and have to buy again, I just need to get a good grow with a few oz to get ahead man

Kind of interesting, this. Noob also and when the plants were hanging to dry, it smelled like cut grass or something. Fresh hay maybe. Now that they've been in jars a few days, it's starting to smell like weed. Fascinating how that works.

Like you, I thought I had fucked something up. In time mate.

I was like that & then I 'discovered' coco, which helped put me ahead of the curve

Bit of an update guys ten days into curing.

when I burp the jars/ tubs, smells great, but when I pick a bud up and smell it, it literally has no smell at all, although when I pinch them They smell goodbeginning to think the smells not going to come back at all....

Personally, I don't think enough growers push their plants as far as they could/should go - based on my own shoddy experiences, that is.

Under-grown weed smells bad...weed pushed to the limits of Autumn often smell amazing.

Same as you mate. dried for 6-7 days, then into jars a week ago. Iv got hydrometers in jars, there siting at about RH61-63 now. was a little higher initially.
smells nice when i burp jars, but hardly any smell on buds unless you give it a squeeze.
Burns well, gets me stoned, but just has no real taste or smell when smoking it.
2 strains, same thing.
Thinking i dried too much - but surly not if RH in jars was getting up to 69-70 when first jarred.

Exact same, brother. 10 days in a jar and the exact same experience. I'm keeping the faith though!


I keep reading it won't be a problem once we're jars ahead...

I think herbitual may of hit the nail on the head, in hindsight I should of waited another week or two before chop, then get the temp and humidity a bit better next time although it was quite a struggle the other week with the high temps outside then very low temps. It was pushing 28 degrees one day in the dry room when I checked, which is maybe what’s caused it.
I also wet trimmed but left a couple of stems to dry trim, which I did and they smell considerably more pungent.
