    My others have gone now and I need new ones but just wondered if they should be surge protected

    Mine is, but I just use normal kit that can be had from normal shops, Belkin or similar. Computers can use a fair bit of wattage these days, and some computers use more than what my grow uses.

    It's an extra level of safety for minimal cost bud,I run everything through surge protectors.
