    Angry nft issues

ok folks, i have set up an nft system and my water/nutes hit 29c yesterday as it was 24c outdoors, i placed some ice packs into the res to lower temps which came down to 21c within 10 minutes, but had risen again within 30 minutes, any ideas, suggestions as to keeping temps to 19/20c as the ice packs are very short lived remedy, i'm using 'silver bullet' to prevent pythium, but i'm thinking i ain't gonna keep temps constant enough throughout a 12 hour cycle, so suggestions welcome. thanks in advance folks.
maybe i will switch to dripper feeding every so often as the pump running constantly is only adding to water temps.
    thanks folks.

Convert a fridge into a holder for ya res? Or ask summer to fuck off for a bit longer. I've always struggled soon as it comes to keeping anythin cool. My grooms in the coldest part of the house, luckily on full led the heat doesn't seem to get above 22c without help.

You can fill bottles half way with water and freeze them and keep swapping them out.
Big pita though. If ya can afford it you should get a chiller. Only way I've ever seen
folks being able to keep the temps in check.

Beer coolers alright. It needs to cool the tank though, not just the fertigation solution. It's the dissolved oxygen we are really interested in.

Search aquarium chiller rather than nutrient chiller. Same thing minus the hydro mark up

If you've got the height, have the nutes fall back into the res with at least a 16" drop. The drop will kill most of the bacteria.

If photos, run the lights 12/12 during the night. If they're in veg, run a household led 24/0 to stop them flowering. If autos, turn the lights off during the hottest hours of the day.

I have used NFT for a few years and come the summertime it is an absolute ball ache to manage. The growth and yield is fantastic but dealing with the heat in reservoir becomes a constant battle.

I always used to have a few bottles filled up with water in the deep. Used to stick 2 bottles in the small reservoir to bring it down and then swap over every couple of hours.

Apart from investing in a chiller this is the best route IMHO u can go down.

I have now converted to coco and totally do not miss nft and the hot summer days lol

Hope it all works out for you man.
