what is a tubbler?
Imagine a strong wooden box large enough to hold all of your buckets in the correct growing positions. Remove the buckets and fit pond liner to make the box watertight. Put holes in the lid where you want the plants to be. Build in access for partial/full res changes. No water pump needed, only airstones, preferably one under each set of roots.
The one I built was 700 litres and it took the RO unit 3 days to fill it.
Smaller scale tubblers can be made using large plastic storage containers.
