Sorry for causing you work mate - That was me casting doubt on the quantities.
Unfortunately, I am (mostly) right....according to the sentencing council guidelines the criteria has changed effective from April 1st 2021. The first time its changed in 50 years and its just as I was flipping to flower
Cat 3 is now listed as 20 plants (down from 28) and cat 4 is now 7 with an assumed yield of 55g/plant.
Can't post links here yet but its about here - sentencingcouncil.org.uk/offences/crown-court/item/production-of-a-controlled-drug-cultivation-of-cannabis-plant-2/
Not that it makes a huge difference either way to be honest. Personally I think the 10 plant limit draws a pretty good line between us percy growers and the cash croppers. I smoke about an oz a week (when I can!) so 2 or 3 10 plant grows a year is about perfect in my experience. Any bigger than that is starting to get a bit shady I think. Not that I disapprove - I score off these people whenever I ain't got any!
Anyway, who cares - the idea is to avoid the sentencing altogether, right?!
