What I've discovered about fans & controllers...

Ecotechnics evolution 12 amp version if you don't mind spending the coin, you can wire heaters into it too fully automated...Most of these fan speed controllers are nonlinear stepping transformers. I prefer to use a variac for proper linear voltage without any humming...It's worth noting also regarding the alleged % folks are stating they run the fans at...The percentage should be measured in volts not what the dial on the device says they are almost alway inaccurate...Variacs dials indicate volts. I wouldn't go much below 120v on a 240v supply or 50% on any fan..Remember the fan has to be able to start up at the lower limit voltage whilst overcoming the static air pleasure and resistance in whatever length of ducting your usung..

You might find it difficult to source the parts if you want to build one the same as mine mukka...I'm sure Ravistat ceased trading..If you want off the shelf, search for Ecotechnics evolution 12 amp...

With rvk fans, L1 means intended to work with a carbon filter and A1 means not intended to work with a carbon filter.

From what I can find RVK stands for some cities and companies. Pretty much all I could find through a few google searches.

EC fans are the way forwards . Quiet, powerful, don't hum, low wattage & controllable in 1% increments

Getting 1.0 gpw used to be the holy grail. Nowadays, 1.0 gpw is a sorry newbie grow.
