Default How is Flower time counted?

Lets say the seller says flower time is 8-10 weeks.
So I flip the switch to a 12/ 12 light cycle with photo's and then when do I start counting the weeks?
Since not much may be changing for a week or two, do I start counting when I see flowers starting to come out?
    Sincerely: Impatient

i go from first sign of buds.

most breeders arent clear and thus i only use their times as a guideline. be prepared to go an extra 2 weeks or longer depending on trych development preference.
could even be a week or 2 earlier if you're lucky.

Thank you: I had one plant the tallest with fading leaf color, I gave it a boost of CalMag and nitrogen but was wonder if it's normal and just timing out?
I looked at the trychs on a few bud leaves and nothing much there yet.

Some breeders count from when the buds first appear.

When looking at a strain, check the outdoor finish times. There can be two '8 week' strains and one finishes mid September and the other early October. Hmmm...

I prefer cloudy trics. When trying a new strain, they all get chopped as soon as I see a single amber tric on any of the plants.

Will looking at a sugar leaf be the tell tale or do I need to look at a flower?

I take very little notice of flowering times there's so many variables to say.
When I flip I give them 70 days to start with then take it from there, my last two crops were chopped at 87 and 93 days.
Idk what the flowering time is for sensi blackberry but I'd bet it's not 90 days :-)

In short start to finish it's ready when it's ready!
