Do they not use the stored energy in the leaf to help build the roots? I've clipped the tips off and I know that should stop/slow the moisture loss and help focus on building roots.
Please keep it coming, I'm listening and learning

The clones actually store the energy in their stems, I always prefer to take a little thicker stem clone for that reason. I always clipped back the vegetation up above substantially when cloning.

Well I went and removed the larger leaves on my clones. I've have them under t5 on 24/0. Thought they would like some sun today!
Things are looking promising, for fun I've left all the leftover cuts in water to see if they would root as well. Just plain tap water that's changed once a week. Again those are just for sake of learning and having fun.Attachment 407660Click image for larger version.

Day 30, I think she's starting to pack it on. Her leaves are starting to slightly yellow and those buds are growing rapidly. Thinks are going great tho.

10 days since I trimmed my girl and kept these cuttings. I think it's safe to say the 2 in the dirt has roots(I've kept them under t5 24/0 ). The last couple days I've sat them out in direct sunlight(a bird even shat on one). Anyways I believe I finally got clones, swear it's been over a year since I could get one to root(veg or flowering).
