    Default Builder question?

    Alright?

Me house is a very old thing (early 1800s) and has very deep cob walls, one area of which is damp. It's not mouldy and doesn't smell or anything like that, but you can see (especially after last night's downfall) a line of damp about 4ft high. Obvs, when the house was built, it was without a damp course.

The question is, on a deep, old cob wall, is it possible to retro install a damp course to get rid of the wet just in one area? Would the internal floor have to come up?

Do I even know what I'm talking about after 30 years in an office?

Seemed like it when I woke up this morning…I checked and I’d definitely raised the drawbridge before bed.
