As part of the sporting fraternity there are many 'across the counter' medications that you can't use as they will show up on a dope test, it is irrelevant whether you agree with the list or not... them's the rules, and if you break the rules then you are, rightly, punished. If the rules are to be argued, then do it from a stance of being free from the substance rather than, when caught, relying on public pressure to get you off.

If you're nicked and put away for whatever period, are you gonna be on the other side saying you deserved it cause you knew the rules?

I've always gotten over it myself, I guess all the other people should also. No one wants anyone to go to jail, but if you play with the piper, then when you get caught, you have to pay. The dude that brought all us some Colombian gold back in the 80's, spent 30 years in jail for just doing all us junkys A favor. Doesn't seem right, but like MC says, we live by rules, nothing we can do but obey or choose not to obey.

It's the same principle TBH - choose to ignore the rules & accept the punishment if caught.

I grow cannabis but I wouldn't expect anything, bar what is in sentencing guidelines, to be my punishment, if my door went through

I'm more in favour of street cautions, than prosecution, for possession... but you can only really have so many cautions before it's decided that you should feel the weight of the law...

For growers? I think sentencing guidelines try to differentiate between cash crops & personal use - that's probably as good as it will get without legalisation...

Would I like to see cannabis legalised? Show me the full proposal first
