HLG 600 v2 R spec is designed for a 5x5, used with ya side lighting to fill the extra space reckon it would be ideal for that space

    https://ledgrowshop.co.uk/products/hlg-600-rspec

In budget @ £629.99, great lights, great manufacturer who offer a 3 year warranty, plug n play, dimmable, direct replacement for a 1k HID yet only pulls 600w

NO SELL, NO SMELL, NO TELL!!!

Well im looking at the hlg but the bigger unit with 6 panels 600r spec, so I'm going to probably have to give it a few more weeks to save up some more cash.

I'm thinking out loud here, I haven't even fitted my led yet.

Correctly positioned, 2 x 400w hps can equal a 1kw hps. Maybe not quite so true with led but for the same wattage, light from multiple directions does have a big advantage over a single source of light.

I'd be tempted by 4 x HLG 135W Rspec. Max draw 150w. Quoted as good for flowering 2'x2' but that's 1 unit and the HLG 100 flowers 2'x2' well enough with a third less wattage. With light coming from all directions, flowering a 3'x3' area should be fine and no side lighting needed.

At max, the power draw will be 600w, less than half your current usage.

As 4 x HLG 135W is over budget, I'd start with 2 plus the 100w side lights, giving the hps a well earned rest. At worst, they'll cover 4'x5' and the leccy savings from that grow will be close to the price of a 3rd HLG 135W.

im using a scopex 680- advanced from diyled.co.uk.
its a cracking bit of kit and performs real well..
its also fairly cheap compared to a lot of LEDs
