Much of the thread got deleted (including many pictures of blackened LEDs, this is the only one I could still find - is it a fire risk? Mars would not comment on that!)

Mar's official solution? They will send you new diodes but you have to disassemble the unit & fit them yourself... this is in units less than 12 month old that should be covered by warranty!

Mars may have raised their game since then - but I will never have a good word to say about them after the way they treated their customers, our members!
I have just wondering. I have a marsH tsw2000. I use it my 1mx1m tent. Its a light that IMO does the job. Its my first light and i get good grow and flower with it. 1 problem i had was the light never turned off. When it was off it still had like 5% glow. Ended up with a solution of moving the drivers away since they made a magnetic field that made then glow. I would say mars hydro is a desent light for a new grower. But anything else then that no. Their costumer support where happy to help till i got thr light but when I had problems they went silent

A 5% glow with the light turned off? Feck me, I'd put that very much in the dangerous column personally.

Bottom line is, Mars have quite a large marketing footprint, but pound for pound (Euros and Dollars also apply) you can do MUCH better.

Yes. 5% on when "off". Glad my first grow was a auto. No hermies. So I turned the light manually off ever day for 2 grows untill i found out it was a magnetic field

I spoke to their rep often about customer support... and how Chinese companies were renowned for poor after sales. It fell on deaf ears...

That said, I also talked to them about user manuals & Chinese English (Chinglish LOL) - I think they took that onboard - You won't sell many units if the instructions are unreadable

Hey,I LOVED my Ford F150 truck I really miss that truck,if it wasn't for the 5th kid forcing me to sell the truck for my 8 seat Expedition I would have kept it,never gave me any problems and I went hunting in some really remote areas.

Aww shit scoot I don't really have a preference. Hell the raptor is the baddest truck on earth and it's a Ford. Just offhand.

@M_C that customer service does sound a nightmare. I can fully appreciate your not supporting them and booting then as a sponsor. Fire though?

    Cheers
