Out here in Washington we have TV associations which are nonprofit member owned organizations that rebroadcast on repeater channels. If you want to put up an antenna and receive the broadcast you're supposed to pay them $45 a year. I would be happy to pay $45 a year if I could actually receive over the air channels, but I can't.

I'm really not sure where this strange idea comes from. The nearest I can find is Labour bleating about a trade deal with America that would mean that the US could tender for NHS contracts - But, by the time Labour had spun it, it was put forward as selling the NHS! Tony Blair knows a lot about carving up & selling parts of the NHS, he did that when Labour were in power!

I haven't paid for a TV licence in over 10 years. If they ever knocked I would just say I don't have a TV and I have removed their implied rights of access. The fastest way to jog them on is to whip out your phone and start filming them.

I've had the same health clinic for 20 years. It used to be run by the nhs and it was utter shite. If there was a way to piss people off even more, they had already implemented it. Then it became one of those Trust thingies. Run by a money grabbing doctor couple. Was a vast improvement. When an assessment was done, my health clinic got the lowest possible rating. Lowest possible rating and still 4 times better than what the nhs could manage. It's run by a good doctor now and it's brilliant.

When the tv licence goon knocked my door a few years back I told him I have 2 tv's one for monitoring the cctv and the other is a smart tv which I only use for watching dvd's, netflix and internet etc. He wanted to come in to have a look, I told him bollocks....He said "Mr lightyear you have dish on the front of your house" I said, yeah I also have a chimney on the roof but i don't have a fuckin fire either...Anyway you can verbally removed implied right of access if they attend or tell them you are self isolating with covid symptoms they will soon feck off These days I just fill in the exemption form online false name an email, they leave you alone for 2 years then when the letters start again just do a fresh exemption and your good for another 2 years..
