Thread: Charcoal Filter position in 38 inch by 38 inch grow tent

  1. Default Charcoal Filter position in 38 inch by 38 inch grow tent

I have always hung my filter at the top of the grow tent but wondered if it would work equally well at the bottom where it would be much easier to maintain.

    Thanks

It's fine to do so. Most people hang em high as heat rises.

You can also have it outside the tent. With the fan pushing air out thru the filter instead of sucking in through it.

NO SELL, NO SMELL, NO TELL!!!

That's how I've done it. Fan and filter in the loft above the cupboard.

Thanks every one for the responses. Very useful as last grow the filter dropped down and squashed one of my plants. The LED lights that I am trying for the first time do not seem to be pouring out anything like as much heat as the HPS did so I will try on the floor with the exhaust ducting going straight up out of the roof.

My filter sits outside the grow room & I blow air through it rather than suck it
