Default Useful equipment that isn't from the grow shop.

A thread for your non grow shop equipment. Here's mine:

Meat thermometers. A long blade ideal for stabbing into a pot to measure root temps. Has a min/max feature, useful for checking lights out root temps. Can also be used as a regular thermometer.

Potato ricer. Making cannabutter in a slow cooker is a greasy job. The trim can be spooned into the ricer and the butter squeezed out. The squeezed trim gets compressed like a hockey puck and is quite dry, little wastage. A lot cleaner than using a muslin bag.

25 litre wine fermenter. Has a scale to get the volume of water the same every mix. Handles and a 4" neck lets me carry 20L of water without spills. Squirt in the raw nutes, empty fermenter into the nutes res and job done.

My favorite non grow shop item is my Bucket Head wet dry shop vac, it just clips onto any 5 gallon bucket and works wonders for getting 90% of my runoff up.
I also really enjoy the water filters I use brand name Aqua Crest, gey them off Amazon and they work wonders on the shitty city water I have.

Piece of 20mm conduit to act as a fan pole to hold a fan. Trying to think of better one.

    Oh yeah,

The run to waste pump box made out of a lock and lock sandwich box

Run off collector trays made from cut down £1 builders buckets plus hoselock connectors and standard hose pipe

With all those savings I can get my HLG up above

I think I speak for a bunch of us when I say, "My wife's slotted spoon from the kitchen".

An old cellphone - use it to set up a free wifi webcam inside the tent. Pointed at a temp/rH gauge, you can monitor your tent from anywhere you have cell service.

    Cheers

Another tool I got for tiny trees. Asked my dentist if he had any old/broken dental picks he had in back and he gave me 3.
That tiny explorative tip is my helmet head remediation tool. I use it way more than I'd like if I'm honest.

    Cheers

I'm going to do the same with my dentist! I can find many, many uses for a sturdy pic like that.
Cleaning the powder residue out of primer pockets comes to mind.

Here's a good one. I keep all my tools and training acccoutrements in this old fishy tackle box.

Not that old, really. But it was certainly fishy.

I must have over 15 tackle boxes in my home workspace. A box for everything. I have way too many hobbies.
