Just wanted a little rant, hope you don't mind

So my tent arrived afew days ago and I decided to be pro active and set it up in preparation for my first grow (Other equipment is ordered, or will be be soon) and will be placed as and when it arrives. Anyway after about two hours and alot of swearing I finally got it set up. I went to make a well deserved cup of tea and found a letter by the door from some gas company. Turns out they need access to check all the pipe work in the flat FFS. Which means I'll have to take the tent down

and hope they don't need to do any repairs.

Just hang some laundry in the tent and leave it wide the fuck open. Bonus points for adding a humidifier. Anyone asks, you're treating some wicked bed bugs in your flat. I bet they ask very few questions and get right the fuck out as soon as they're able.

Still baffles the mind that you guys are worried about handymen ratting you out. What do they gain from causing problems for you? Before it was legal, I was smoking a joint out back when the trash guys came. I just got a nod and a smile.

Good news though! Putting up my first tent was a royal pain in my ass. When I took it down and set it back up, it was EASY! Chalk it up to good training, mate.

Not going to risk it, I've had afew hours to cool off and the faff of taking it down and putting it back up is worth not arousing suspicion. Just a pain in the balls, like people asking for weed

I read of a guy who assembles/disassembles his tent as two halves. Top half and bottom half. They're next to each other like two shoeboxes. Then the top is swung over and is fitted to the bottom.

I've done lots of security scare teardowns. Most of them were false alarms. A false alarm teardown is a major annoyance but not as devastating as a bust or a rip. A month passes and it's back to growing. If busted or ripped, starting again is not only gut wrenching, it could be an extremely dumb thing to do.
